I am saying this as someone who actually lives in New York and has gathered a lot of knowledge on trains and buses over the years. This is actually not bus rapid transit, it is a regular Select Bus which is nothing close to any definition of "rapid" a major difference is that bus rapid transit has dedicated parts of the road ( not like a normal bus lane) and in some cases even has payment in the station rather than on the bus. If you want a better example look up the Boston MBTA Silver Line.
