Conker had a cute game on the Gameboy I think, and he was one of the characters alongside Banjo in Diddy Kong Racing.

I heard that Rare was going to release a bog-standard game on the N64, but reception was lackluster as that would have probably been very formulaic. So they did a 180 and said it would be filthy and adult oriented. Few people actually believed them until the game was actually released and proved them true to their word.
