Eatsa Automated Restaurant

Fast-food chain Eatsa is redefining automation in the restaurant industry by taking out employee interaction completely. Ordering is done via an app or in-store on a kiosk, and your order is placed in a cubby upon completion. Humans prepare the food behind the wall of cubbies, so you never have to speak with a single person. We checked out the New York city location to see how it all works. There are three California locations in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Woodland hills, along with a location in Washington, D.C.

they just got rid of the server/cashier who was being paid probably minimum wage or less because of tips and was also scheduled less than 20 hrs a week . atleast you cant blame them anymore for getting their order wrong.

_Tap twice to get your food_ thing is flawed in terms of automation. The kiosk should print a barcode and then I should be able to open the door to my food by holding it to a reader by the door. Or it could be the credit card I used to pay at the kiosk to open that door, maybe an app on my phone that gets a unique id after payment via bluetooth from the kiosk and sends it to the door to open it...
