What strikes me so deeply about the Orthodox are their HUMILITY. I saw this video called "I am Orthodox" where people from several countries commented about how they live their Orthodox lives... I have NEVER seen such genuine humility, warmth, and beauty in a person's face! It struck me especially to see this out of so many Eastern Europeans considering the stereotype about them being cold or stiff... those people have shown me the MOST grace out of all of them on my journey... and I feel what they feel. I haven't even been to a Divine Liturgy yet, I'm still going slowly with one of my reversions back to this path, but this time I really want to go down it further. Catholicism, where I come from, has no humility; these people think that they are God or at least his judges. They are repressed, not humble. They take the Catholic label with pride, but the Orthodox take their identity with humility, which to me is one of the greatest virtues. Pray for me, Orthodox friends, that I have the strength in our Lord Jesus Christ to answer this call from beyond the cosmos to be what I always was, what God created me to be. You people don't realize the blessing you were born with!
