Seems reasonable, except that when I was young I lived in a house that was built apparently in the 1700s and there were glass windows that were completely covered by dirt, completely covered! you know how expensive glass window panes would have been in the 1700s for them to have them all the way around the basement every 3' to look out into darkness? Makes no sense

In Chicago, that means the building was built before the cities sewer system, turning the buildings ground floor into the basement.

Not sure about Tartaria, but one thing I'm sure of, that this guy doesn't have any idea what was happening in the world in the 17- and 1800s, and his type is why the world refuse to change what people know of history. He'll claim there was nothing but stick-wielding hunter-gatherers 5, 000 years ago, and ignore or try to debunk sites like Gobleki Tepe. Ignoring new ideas doesn't help humanity understand ancient history. And mud doesn't go to the core of the planet, a building won't sink because mud builds up around them, they wouldn't have been built on mud.

The best thing about the anti "conspiracy theorists" is they're about as intelligent as a leftist meme.

Sceptic until I saw for myself the bricked in huge windows in a church ‘basement’. I asked why they bricked up the windows. They said this is a basement, there is another one below it that we don’t use. Just saying…. Don’t discount everything until you see it for yourself. 🎉

I still don't understand why buildings have doors underground. Unironically

This is a new milestone in ageing for me. Being old enough to have heard of what a cellar is.

Literally every old house with a basement on the east coast 🤣

What about the doors that were under ground? I'm genuinely interested why there were doors underneath the ground.

"And they didn't sink?" Well yes because that's a question of density and as we can clearly see there are not that many people as dense as the guy who did that video so...

Dude most of these building aren't even that old. These looks like slightly old style buildings you'd find in a modern city.

'After they dug all the mud away from around the building... they found the building had been covered in mud'. Just genius.

Wait till this TikToker learns what fire safety is...
A lot of egress windows are specifically built like that in basements to allow, not only light, but a person to escape from the basement in case of a fire. If they're unable to escape from the upper floors, you don't want them trapped in a basement burning to death because of no windows.

So why is that door buried underneath at the same level as these windows?

Having been born and raised in one of those half-basement apartments in Brooklyn, I can safely say that not only was the building constructed within the past century but that those windows were actually great for letting in sunlight *and* a nice breeze during the summer! :D
