Today we will talk about the third crusade.

There were 8 crusades. A series of religious wars promoted by the Catholic Church in the Near East (known as the Holy Land) with the aim of recovering for Christianity the region that entire area, governed under the rule of Islam since the seventh century.

They were given such a name thanks to the cross that the warriors wore embroidered on their chests. Eight crusades were fought between 1095 and 1291.

People like Peter the Hermit, Godfrey of Bouillon, Frederick Barbarossa, Richard the Lionheart, Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and Saladin, have made that even today, the crusades are studied in many parts of the world.

What would the world be like today if there had been a different outcome in those crusades?
