This is how history classes should be taught, instead of forced memorizing historical dates. Whoever thought and made this format, did an amazing job.

Richard deserves consideration as one of the great commanders of his age, especially from a logistical perspective.

Imagine a king that swings a battle ax while leading his troops. Richard truly was a great commander and warrior

Guys, I want to see the scale measure on the maps, when they zoom in or zoom out. It would be great to see the size and distances.

If you agree with this, please thumbs up. Perhaps History Marche group will notice!

Dunno if you'll see this comment, but I really love your 1+ hour videos of entire campaigns, and seeing the outcomes of entire factions, instead of the ones in a single battle. I really hope that, despite how much time and energy it takes to make long videos like these, you will continue to put together long videos like these, whether making series of your existing videos, or brand new ones. Thank you for making this video... I really enjoyed it.

I seriously couldn't stop watching this. So engaging! The visual and oral teaching with the consistent reminder of dates was really absorbing. I fully comprehend the events of the 3rd Crusade.

Ya I agree, no other leader came to help Saladin but he did receive reinforcements.
Like the time his army retreated and he raced ahead the get food and supplies ready for them, shows the type of guy he was.
Richard had funds granted. But to travel so far in the time that it was and to put up a solid fight was impressive.
Both had respect for each other.
So sad that the holy land is still being fought over.

First time I’ve come across this channel.
Left a comment & 👍 as a sacrifice to the algorithm. I 0:10 listened to the whole episode in 1 go while cooking & tinkering, the time flew by because Inwas immersed in the narrative.
