hi i was hoping you could help me understand your conversion process at 4:30. Why was the 8 bit left on when mapping out the subnet A address?
i was given IP address and mask of 172.168.28.9 /22 with subnet A's number of hosts being 112, while subnet B's number is 240 but I can't seem to get the right numbers. Would this make Subnet A's network address be 172.168.29.0?

thanks for providing this video by the way, it has been very helpful.

In the directions it says to use a console cable to connect the two iOS devices which is the blue one right? Why do you not use one?

So why did you subnet B first then do A, does it have something to do with the number of host needed (like you do the largest first)? Im struggling.

I am about to do this exact same skills assessment. One part 5 the instructor note indicates that I should "obtain the rest of the IPv6 network address form my instructor." He has provided an IPv6 address of 2001:DB8:ACAD:A:x:x:x:x. I have no idea what to do with this as "x" is not a hexidecimal number and there are no further instructions about subnetting it. Do you have any idea how to handle this?

do you use a subnet calculator, do you suggest a specific one? is better to do it by hand?

wow thanks for much for putting in all this effort. Can you check my answers?
Network: 192.169.110.0

Subnet A (2 hosts) : 192.169.110.2/30 (router g0/0)
ipv6: 2001:DB8:ACAD::1
(i haven't been given my entire ipv6 address)

Subnet B (14 hosts) : 192.169.110.30/28 (router g0/1)
ipv6: 2001:DB8:ACAD:1::1

It says "the 0th subnet is used."
They just mean that one of your subnets needs to be the 0th network right? Otherwise I couldnt use both subnets on 0 or ill get overlapping

Also, in the PC ipv6 network configuration section, it says "description" before physical address, what are we supposed to do there?

I had an address of 192.168.50.0 with two subnets of 30 hosts. How would I go about subnetting this?
