Teen killed, father injured after suspected drunk driver crashes into home in White Settlement

Police are investigating a deadly crash in White Settlement after a truck that was driven by a suspected drunk driver went into a house.

This brings back bad memories from my youth. About 50 years ago one of my best friends died the same way just before our graduation from high school. A guy was on drugs and drove through his parents home and pinned him up against the wall in the kitchen. He was sound asleep at the time and probably never knew it hit him.

Prayers going out for this family...R.I.P. I had a school van ram into my bedroom at 6:30am on 4/08/19, the noise as it broke down the wall and the headlights illuminating the entire room was horrible! As I jumped out of my bed all I screamed out was my little dog's name who was 14 years old at the time, thank God she heard when it first hit the rear end of my roommate's car parked right up front and she hid under the bed. We were both traumatized until she passed in Sept of 2020. But I still jump when I hear a loud bang or anyone even dropping a plate 😔

I knew someone like over 15 years ago that was depressed, suicidal, & drank & did drugs. He crashed into the porch of someone's home & because it was a pretty huge slab of concrete, he died almost immediately from being basically squished. Please drive responsibility & don't drink and drive. Get to your destination & stay there.
Tip: get extra cigarettes if you smoke even if it's just while you drink.

Get basically everything you'll need before you start drinking. It's just not worth the lives you're risking.

I always told my children their home was their safe haven, a place where nobody would hurt them. I could not imagine sitting inside my home and a drunk comes crashing through and wrecks my family. This driver deserves no less than life behind bars, they made a choice to drive drunk! Prayers for the family.

If you consume alcohol and choose NOT to make arrangements for someone else to drive you home then you should be charged with premeditated murder if someone is killed bc of your recklessness. What’s crazy is.. the fact that he continued to drive after already losing control in a yard almost 2 houses down. There is no reason to have been that lost and out of control to continue to drive full throttle and pummel into a building.. when you had more than enough time and space to stop after already having caused damage to the other property.

If drunk driving is such a inappropriate behavior, and often leads to destruction and death Why are there liquor stores on every street corner? Why can you go to the club or the movies and a restaurant and drink??? Why is it so easily accessible? And readily available? Everyone doesn’t have the same tolerance, nor behavior when intoxicated or inebriated!!! It’s mind boggling to me
