Siri’s voice is stuck in the past. Needs a voice like what OpenAI showcased.

I hope they give an option to avoid that stupid prompt that comes up each time so people who don’t wear tinfoil hats can be more streamlined and people with tinfoil hats can feel like a warm security blanket. Win win for everyone. Don’t let people who have nothing to hide behind inconvenienced by additional prompts. If you do this, I’d love it.

Can it be disabled or deactivated, or block all permissions? I’ve never even used Siri on any iPhone I’ve ever had.

the fundamental problem with ai is that it is preprogrammed, like a dictionary, ask the word, get the definition. the correct way is "a process" ie present a problem and let it sit over it, ask a bunch of folks / models, present a summary of the interactions, comment that it would X to be better than Y, and then back to the process. for instance i can say i need a tshirt and leave it at that, now it gets busy hunting down options and deals and only if i go back to that demand or only if it finds a fleeting deal, would it pop up

I just need a Google lens thing like Samsung, hopefully the advanced Siri will be able to do it. For example, his shirt in the video looks great and I want to buy, if I had Samsung, Google Lens would have easily search for it through one tap without needing to pause the video, but in Apple, I have to screenshot it then go away from Youtube and then I have go to the Google lens app, then I have to put the image. Same case for translation like there are some texts shown in a video which can't be copied, if I had Samsung, within one tap Google Lens would translate it for me, but in Apple it's take screenshot then go the translate app. The Google Lens itself is an mobile assistant who's ready to assist you whenever you call him, I want such type of thing.

I just want something like Samsung AI so I can turn voice notes into written notes and then summarize them.

Notice how Apple didn’t say that prompts to OpenAI are anonymous or that people don’t have eyes-on access to the data. They just said that our IP addresses are shielded from OpenAI and that they don’t log data. While that’s a start, it falls short of how Microsoft protects its integration with OpenAI via Copilot. Microsoft promises that no one has eyes-on access to user data and assures customers that their data won’t be used to train any LLM. Apple made so such promise.

Samsung and Google have had these features for a while. Nothing new here.

so with every question we have to grant Siri permission to access GPT? Why not just use the GPT app?

so... ChatGPT with extra steps, and by extra steps, meaning SIRI aka "Apple Intelligence"

No thank you sharing my information with ai servers is like sharing jockstraps with another person

I'm guessing Apple will use the data generated by GPT4o through this new system to train its own model in the future. Opting in to GPT on Apple devices probably means the user agrees that the data generated ultimately belongs to Apple. Smooth move Apple, smooth move!

personally I don't find my interest in artificial intelligence it may interest people who work with it like companies or developers after its a chat so it makes you have an interest to discuss I prefer to spend my time outside of smartphones

Chat GPT is Apple biggest mistake. 🤮👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Apple Privacy and Chat GPT does not go together. Apple hasn’t explained what Chat GPT harvest from our devices when asked if we accept that information to be generated by Chat GPT. This is so low, beyond.

So, if I want to have a working Siri, I need to replace my iPhone, my IPad and all of my HomePods (if HomePods will be supported at all). So Apple tells us basically to throw away all our Apple stuff and buy it new in order to participate.

So basically Siri is still dumb but she put some new makeup on and gave herself a glow-up and married an intelligent spouse.
