May I share one experience that illustrates the Heyoka characteristics and gifts? This is a true experience, with exact quotes.

One day I was waiting in a fairly long line for the cashier at a well-, known department store. Three ladies were in front of me in line, the first one unloading her many prospective clothing purchases onto the counter. The lady right behind her had been talking loudly as she clearly enjoyed finding some clothing that met her needs. When this lady saw the first lady finally place her last item, a t-shirt in a camouflage pattern, on the counter, the "loud-some" lady got even louder and declared to everyone within 20 feet of her: "Oh my God! If I ever bought anything CAMOUFLAGE my husband would DIVORCE me!" I instantly felt this as rather insulting to the woman buying it, and without another second passing, I said in a calm, firm, serious voice: "Well then if you ever want to get rid of him, you know exactly what to do."

HAVE TO SAY I WAS SURPRISED I SAID IT, BUT... It accomplished a few things:
1-- it was clear evidence to the anti-camouflage lady that hers was a ridiculous statement
2-- that it was thoughtless
3-- that it seemed it could have been a narcissistic put-down to get a laugh at the buyer's expense
4-- that saying it was her futile attempt to make her personal opinion and her husband's standards look more important than the buyer's
5-- it was just plain FUNNY!

I kept a serious face, and for a few seconds, the lady immediately before me, between the anti-camo and me, put her head down, turned her face toward me, silently swallowed her laugh, and at least two women behind me let out short laughs in spite of themselves.
Actually, what was great was that the
Anti-camo lady after a couple of beats laughed too, having had enough time to actually HEAR her own declaration.

At the time, years ago, I had never heard the term Heyoka Empath, but when I read about the PURPOSE of a H.E., I realized I did at that moment act The Sacred Clown.
I love this special experience, and anyone who thinks I said it to put down the A.C. lady... Nope! It was nothing I premeditated, just seemed a natural thing to say... And I've had many experiences where I've been nudged by spirit to "speak true" and this is one I'm happy to have been nudged into!
