Few people, however, know what State Planning really was, how the planned economy functioned in the USSR, and why it ultimately fell. We will examine all of this here in this video.

So as a rural Canadian I am 100% in support for gun rights here in Canada we rely on firearms for hunting and protecting livestock. Everyone tells me that gun rights is strictly a FAR RIGHT believe. I think the video could have gone deeper into the origins of centralized planning in the late 19th century corporations (Alfred Chandler's 'The Visible Hand'), as well as the planned war economies of World War 1 & 2, (notably the activities of the KRA in Germany that influenced Lenin, according to Eric Hobsbawm.)

The conclusion that such an analysis could provide is nothing less than this: planning stands in the same relation to the market mechanism as the use of money does to barter.

It seems like a systrm with a mix of planning and state or community run businesses would be best due to the self correcting dynamic that markets provide.
