I once got kill by big pipe because this AI was bugged. He keep shooting at me when I was hiding behind a wall with no hole so his sight was blocked so how he know where I was behind the wall? And he keep shooting and shooting and shooting his laser beam just to peek 0.01 seconds to get instantly kill by him. Was truly bullshit

Lmao, nice work sharing the secret. Using green flare makes ai in the area friendly to you and your party, makes it easy to farm the goons. It's not a bug or cheat or exploit. It's game mechanics, think of the extract on Streets
