Nemanja Vidic & David Moyes

Vidic's confirmation of problems in the dressing room underDavid Moyes is not surprising, to say the least. With the squad largely unchanged from the one that won the Premier League title just a year earlier, United looked like a team searching for an identity from the very first match.

Sir Alex Ferguson and team officials asked for patience, but with every passing match, the club seemed to regress, and very soon the word "crisis" started to be heard around Old Trafford.

Vidic is one of many veterans expected to depart the club this summer, with Rio Ferdinand already headed for the exit door and Patrice Evra likely to follow, as shared by The Times' James Ducker.

In 2013-14, that heart was Moyes, a manager who was never able to escape the long shadow cast by the legendary Ferguson. The sacking of Moyes was inevitable in the end, and fans in general seemed to approve of the decision made by the Glazer family, but the damage had already been done

I’m a Chelsea fan and I say Vidic is up there with the all time greats. He speaks just like he plays, with a clear cool head. Hell of a player my goodness. Great story too 👍🏾👍🏾

My favorite player of that era. Always tried to channel his fearlessness anytime i was told to play in the backline. What a man.

Vidic, such a legend!

One player I was always salty about going to Utd. Any team could’ve used him. Don’t make em like him anymore

The situation would be a little better if Moyes followed the Ferguson's advice to keep the Ferguson coaching staff at the club, where they could help Moyes adapt at United as well as being a bridge connecting Moyes with the United players.

Moyes didn't like that idea and decided to released them all and brought in his own coaching staff.

Moyes in his first press conference....
Reporter- "David, you been at Everton 10 years and won nothing, now you are at utd what will you change about your managerial style?"
Moyes - "Nothing"
That is what he said and I knew it.was.going to be a cluster fk.
Why get rid of saha ffs

Most of the team downed tools. Rio was tweeting what was happening in the dressing room during that season. Moyes never had a chance because they didnt respect him. Big babies

ManU rarely sign any player who plays for the badge after Moyes. Price goes up and salary too. Making a lot of players play for money.

The man basically called Moyes indecisive and overwhelmed in the most respectful and gentlemanly way possible, but also in a direct way without beating around the bush.

I have a lot of friends who are Liverpool fans and believe me when I say that they all state vidic was their (if I can say it) best united player…. I know how it must’ve been for them to say that they admired his play…. But credit given where credit due…… I feel the same about gerrard…. Immense player

Anyway, they should have brought in Mou after Ferguson, and give him a big fat transfer budget.

Everyone blames the Glazers for the state Utd are in now, I blame Moyes for the big clear out of personnel he did when he arrived.

both Rio and Nemanja had significant downgrade in their level after Fergie retired. it was like they could not help even if they wanted to. both of them retired very soon after eventhough they signed multi year deals with different teams.

It is difficult to fill Sir Alex's shoes at the best of times, but to fill them when he was winning, everything was a role very, very few could fill. Moyes needed time. Sir Alex got 6 years before he won them a trophy 🏆but a club like Man Utd needs trophies 🏆 season after season

Sir Alex made MU great surely and left the trophy legacy and team character not the system.

Vidic was the apology for Sir Alex's big fukk up of letting Jap Stam go, I can't picture United losing to Porto or Milan with Stam in the team in 2004 and 2005 .

Anyway Vidic became good in 2007 and great in 2008 going forward .

I always hated United so I was ecstatic when they let a generational talent like Stam go
