That game he played against Arsenal with Everton as a teen and that strike made the whole world stand up. Rooney I think is very underrated. Yea he didn't have the career like cr7 etc when he got into his 30s but he was doing it from young. Always performed on big stage. Work rate was immense and could have played nearly anywhere on the pitch.

this exactly why i love Cristiano, there were lot of players who wre better than him talent wise but his mentality made him beat them all.people get so mad when you compare Ronny with Messi, what they don't get is for Ronaldo to even compete with prime Messi in that Barca team and actually win 4 ballondior or beat Messi 4 times is unbelievable, not only Messi like Suarez, you had Griezmanns 2016 campaign.

Vidic my guy, as a defender you missed this one. Every defender was scared of Rooney and his skills, they go more after him which gave Ronaldo open looks that seem he was free and doing much. Rooney was doing so much without the ball, disorganizing opponent’s formations. Now if the question was asked to vidic, who would you be scared of to have the ball as a defender when two forwards are coming at you ? Ronaldo or Rooney ?
