I like the quick shifter on my DDX, I always know when I am shifting because it needs more force to do it.

A few owner insights:

-remove the cat with a link pipe; keep stock exhaust; ECU does not need to be re-mapped. Sounds nice

-quick shifter does require “forceful” use. But works great when you commit to shifts. It also improves with additional km.

What confuses me is that you’re testing a lot of bikes which are also capable of being ridden outside of asphalt, but you ride only in the city.

The wind protection isn’t great but clearly better than on a naked bike. The overall looks of this bike is amazing beautiful in my book and generally the looks aren’t usually one of the strongest points of big trail or off road big bikes, but this Desert X opens an exception in par to the new BMW GS 1300 which for an all terrain type of bike, it’s one of the best in the present in the Market, on the aesthetics department (beyond all controversy, it’s my personal opinion). Thanks for your fine video👌🏻

I'm kinda scratching my head about why Ducati opted for such a long wheel base on Dx? It is way longer then in competition with exeption of may be F850GS. It should make manuvering at low speed difficult as well as riding twisty trails.

Great review as usual!
Is the issue with the heat present in Multistrada V2S as well?
How would you compare engine characters in Desert X vs Multistrada V2S ? (heat, vibrations, willing to rev, fuel consumption, throttle feel)
