How you can build a really cheap and simple DIY sharpening jig for bench grinders, to sharpen your chisels and planer blade, fast and far better than using the crappy tool rests that grinders come with. A great addition to any bench grinder that does not already have one and costs much less than buying one.

I think a piece of plate glass and some sandpaper would do a better job, and maybe keep the chisels indoors. Were you painting with a chisel?
