9:34 correction: Kuzco did NOT throw the old man out the window because he accidentally ran into him! He threw him out the window because HE THREW OFF THE EMPEROR’S GROOVE.

Literally just noticed that when Yzma dumps her poisoned wine into the plant pot, the next time we see it it's now a cactus in the shape of a llama

As an adult I've come to appreciate Pacha as a character. His patience brings Kuzco into becoming a better person and I feel like people can learn alot from that

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when, at the restaurant where everyone throws a "birthday party" for Yzma, it cuts to her with the birthday cake that has a ridiculous amount of candles on it. Implying that Yzma is, or just looks, really old

I got a good chuckle out of that

I love the scene where it’s like “Are we going over a waterfall?” “Yep” “Sharp rocks at the bottom?” “Most likely” “Bring it on”

Disney should have more of the "i want to be nice but i don't want to show it in case people think i'm a nice, lovable guy" character

At the end when Chicha crochets Kuzko a poncho and gives him a hug, that was probably the most genuine (if not the only) motherly affection he has ever been shown

I also love the age choices. Like, Disney chose a fourtysomething year old married man to be one of the main characters, which is something kinda weird. Also, the chemistry between him and Kuzco, who's a teenager, is great and their friendship feels so natural despite the age gap

Fun fact: The villain's name "Yzma" sounds the same as the word "isma" which the word in many Quechuan languages for "shit" (Quechua was the language of the Inca empire this movie is set in).

So basically they got away with naming their villain "shit"

Something important that was mentioned in passing at 6:11 was “The energy is always high *without* being obnoxious”, which is apparently an extremely hard thing to get right. This movie is one of the few I’ve seen that manages to do it

Kuzco was basically the villain at the start, but there's one scene that I found especially interesting after rewatching it yesterday. Kuzco actually discussed retirement with Yzma during the dinner scene, as if he felt a little bad for firing her on the spot.

He was still mostly, if not almost completely, a selfish asshole, but I think the scene was snuck in there to show that, no, Kuzco isn't necessarily malicious. He was indeed spoiled rotten since day one, but being pure evil wasn't inevitable for him: he wasn't a sociopath naturally

it took me many years to realize that the reason Kronk's shoulder devil showed off his handstands was because the angel couldn't do them in a robe without flashing people

I was 16 when this movie came out and I had a friend who also didn't like to be touched. His nickname became Kuzco for some time and he started saying 'No touchy!' all the time too lol. Love this film so much.

You also forgot one of the best parts about that scene in the epilogue. When Pacha tells Kuzco, That maybe the hill next to his own might be better for his summer home, as he believes it might be less dumb. What he was ultimately saying was that it wouldn’t be right for the emperor to miss out and then he had nothing against the emperor having a summer home, just forcing an entire village out of their homes just for him was wrong. They are good friends. He does want Kuzco to have some thing for him. He doesn’t want to be selfish either. And that’s what makes the whole epilogue better. The fact that both of them have become such good friends, that Pacha is willing to give Kuzco an alternative to being selfish that means he doesn’t have to miss out. He can share his hills with his friend.

This movie ages like fine wine, it just gets better when it's older and more people look into it
