walked on oxford street mate, felt like a geezer, saw this bird, looked a bit barmy but dishy, thought "go have a chin wag, bog standard", must have been too lairy, cheesed her off.

I think lairy usually implies alcohol is implied, or at least it does where i come from.

In the North East we have a saying "sick as a chip" meaning to be fed up or distraught. Nobody knows where it originates.

I read that "dishy" comes from nice dish: a Polari phrase spoken by the Julian and Sandy characters from the popular old radio show Round the Horn.

Funny! In America, a geezer is usually used for older people and depending on the context, it can be a negative word or positive word.

Examples:
Negative: "I want nothing to do with that ol'e geezer."
Positive: "I'm off to the retirement home to hang with them ol'e geezers."
