This film is extremely underrated! It's a masterpiece! It's The Monkees and it's far different from the show and I appreciate it

I remember this movie, forgot all about this one as a kid from Harlem listend to motown and the Beatles for sure, being black kid in the ghetto me and my friends never really discussed that we loved Rock and roll, later on I listened to leonard skinnered, Molly hatchet, clear water revival along with marvin gaye, Stevie Wonder, groups like the Chi lites, the Temptations, Harold Melvin and the blue notes, the Barclay's, for a 10 year old I had a very diverse music pallet, little did I know listening to all that music prepared me to become a professional bassist playing in bands myself, I'm 61 years old now and I truly miss the 1960's

Saw it on the afternoon movie in ‘74. I was ten and we had a little black and white TV. It was great. Since then I’ve seen it on VHS, at the theater in 35mm, and DVD. Still holds up as an interesting piece of its time.

This movie was the most messed up that the Monkees ever got. It did have some great songs, though.
