Hi ! Bonjour, . Thanks for all your very interesting videos. I learn so much listening to them. Just to share a piece of information. Robust is often used in French : robuste. It is used about people mainly. A "robuste man " is a strong, resistant man. From that, it's applied to mechanical systems or even projects, plans or strategies. Robust comes from latin roots : robustus means "solid as an oak tree" "robur" meant oak tree. An other word not is synergy often used that comes from ancient Greek sunergia ; it means cooperation, work together. The Greek root 'sun' is in so many words beginning with sym or syn like symbiose or sympathetically. Some old words reappear or foreign word are borrowed and over used instead you native words. it's king of weird but nice and international. Thanks for reading and have a good day. Phil

Hi! What is the difference between a buzzword and a nifty word?

More business buzz words which are used a lot: Core Competency, Buy in, SWAT team, Empower, Bleeding edge, Lots of moving parts, Corporate Values, Scalable, Best Practice, Vertical, Over the wall, Impact, Giving 110%, Take it to the next level.

The last two buzz words are highly negative. If your manager is using it in your yearly or monthly appraisal, then you need to take him to a bar, get him drunk and then get him to say all the shitty things he has not told about your performance.
