Rotty's are awesome. never had issues with them. People were afraid when they first come, but then realize its a puddle of mud. The pitbull on the other hand i know of. it has bitten three people without warning, has to be kenneled when other dogs are around, it once got into a big Chesapeake Bay retriever, this Chessy was massive like 120 pounds. the pit grabbed that dog on the shoulder walking by on a leash and then all hell broke loose, that Chessy grabbed that pit up and shook the hell out of it and almost had its leg taken off. It had to be put down, thing was, this pit was never teased or anything by its owners, it was just wired wrong or something.

I googled these 2 dog pulling records, guess what!? Pitbull pulling record is 5000 pound while rockweiler is 15000 pound!! Rockweiler isn't lazy! It is just more calmer then pitbull!! Do your research!!

I had a Rottweiler very loyal and protective dog the dog was barking at old ladies and woman pushing a stroller anybody that came around me in within 5 feet. In fact I was even scared of the dog Those dogs no joke they don’t even bark they just attack you without warning

Owned both, both are amazing dogs But I think my 130 lb Rottie would take the 70 lb pitty. But would not want to find out. Both were very calm and loving dogs. I miss them both. But have a loving German shepherd / American bull mix now.

American Pitbull wins out in my opinion. To me, the American Pitbull is the more impressive animal. While rotts are larger and have a higher bite force, the American Pitbull still outperforms rotts in combat and in strength sports like weight pulling. Given how they are often used for things like wild boar hunting and dog combat, people may believe when I mention they are better at combat, but some may still not believe they are stronger than rotts. If people do not believe me, they should check out a couple of weight pulling videos and see which breed can be seen pulling the most weight out of the two. Watch a video called Pitbull pulling 9000 kg.
That's 19, 841.6 pounds. I have not seen a rott pull that much. I think one thing that makes the American Pitbull favored for stuff like weight pulling, aside from their strength, is their tenacity and eagerness to take on a challenge bred into them for the stuff they were used for from wild boar hunting, bull baiting, etc.
