I saw a large rott vs a really muscular pitt bull. The pitbull was very aggressive. The Rott still kicked his ass. He was way stronger than the pit bull.

I remember the neighbours had a Rottweiler called Benji he absolutely adored me my mum spanktme one morning and it didn't sit well with him he jumped the fence and knocked her to the floor enough to say hey don't hit my little buddy.

OMG this comment section...People this isn't about dogfights! ...this isn't about a pitbull actually fighting a rottweiler to find out who wins, this about what dog is a better protector for us Humans against another human and not so much another dog... the Rottweiler is more human aggressive and higher in intelligence. I have owned both Rotties and pittbulls, plus as an actual dog trainer who does mostly Schutzhund Training (AKA Protection work) I will tell you all that its a lot easier to find the right determent dog in a Rottweiler then a pitbull because most pitbulls are actually way to Human Friendly to be even usable for protection work.

well i don't think strenght is the most important thing. generally pitbull is much more agressive that rottweiler. rotts if trained and raised properly are cute dogs even to strangers while with pitbulls i'd be much more careful.
