Uh, fun fact: If you drive freight trains as a career (in the US at least), you absolutely WILL see suicide by train. It's so common (hundreds every year) the engineers just report where it happened and don't even try to stop because... mile-long trains just can't.

You don't wanna say 'Ukrainians are not that different from the Russians' when they've been defending their land from Russia for 10 years now, even if the video is not so serious. Also, Ukraine's capital is Kyiv (not Kiev), and Crimea is a part of Ukraine. Maybe for you there's not much of a difference here as well, but there surely IS a difference for millions of Ukrainians defending to the death their land from crazy barbarians.

I can only speak for me as a alcoholic. I don't do smart things when drugs and vodka are in the picture.

It's kinda crazy to look at how many people die per day and your life still goes on

If the story at 13:26 is what I think it is, I cant remember what he was doing exactly but it involed a particular substance used to make matches... What happened to him specifically, is that he dipped his gum in the substance and when he bit down on it, he got the same reaction you would get if you placed a strike anywhere match on an anvil and struck it with a hammer, only in this case the hammer and anvil was replaced by his upper and lower teeth respectively.

Stupidity comes in many forms and exists within every nation, race or gender.

Radioactivity 101:
- Radiation is flying microscopic particles. Actually, light is a form of 'radiation' but usually people are talking about "Ionizing Radiation". THese are particles strong enough to smack electrons out of their atoms (so they become ions) and change chemistry. X-Rays are also ionizing, but modern x-ray machines are pretty weak and safe. Ultraviolet (like from the sun) is also ionizing: low energy ultraviolet gives you a tan. High energy ultraviolet gives you a sunburn and skin cancer.

- Irradiation is when radiation shines on something. It tends to mess up the atoms of whatever it hits. Especially, human, animal and plant parts, because their chemistry is very delicate. Metal, wood, plastic and other materials that aren't alive are more durable, but if you increase the radiation, they'll eventually get damaged. The best way to avoid ionizing radiation is to get away. so it's not shining on your body. Usually travels in a straight line, just like light.

- Radioactivity is any substance that gives off ionizing radiation. Nuclear bombs make a lot of radioactivity; it's called Fallout and usually goes up into the sky and falls downwind. Nuclear reactors also make a lot of radioactivity, but it's supposed to be contained in the machinery inside the building. But, actually, everything is a little bit radioactive, including our houses and ourselves. Just a little bit. It's natural, and it's called "background radiation'.

What they're talking about here isn't 'irradiation' but 'radioactivity'. The reactor blew up it's middle, and the VERY VERY radioactive stuff inside got spread all over, just like fallout. It's like a fine dust, so it sticks onto anything it falls onto. The soil would be fine, if you could get rid of that dust. So, the problem isn't that the soil was 'irradiated', it's that it's radioactive and people near it might get Irradiated, which can make them sick or die.

Radioactivity is not contagious. Stuff that's irradiated, doesn't become radioactive itself (unless it's actually inside a reactor or bomb explosion).

15:45 That story reminds me of a joke. A man is attending the funeral of his wife. The pallbearers start to walk out of the door which is very narrow and as they struggle to get the casket through the bump it several times and jostle it quite badly. Suddenly they hear moaning from inside and quickly set down and open it to find the woman alive. She lives another twenty years and once again her funeral is in the same church. As the pallbearers approach the door, the husband calls out "For goodness sake, be extra careful going through the door!"

the most weird thing about the machines - it is not matter how old or experienced you are. you can be 56 years old or 16, you can know the machine for the majority of your life, but all it takes is one single mistake. wise thing to do - is to have a little bit of respect or even fear for your contraption.

The video of that guy getting stuck on the lathe has made me terrified of wearing anything loose that can get stuck on any power tool. The brief lesson that video taught me: the only part of your body that won't give out before your clothes are the ligaments in your legs. Always remember that the machines like that were made to deal with harder, heavier things than you, but not your mom.

Frankel probably worked, he just didn't take into account that trains need miles to stop. Not hundreds of feet.
