Austria were once again fantastic, this time beating the Netherlands 3 - 2 in what was a fantastic performance from Rangick’s side once again.

France are still yet to score a goal from open play as Mbappé returns, but France are held by Poland. Group C? Not worth talking about!

As a slovenian lets We played so well defensvily. But if I wasnt slovenian I would have never watched the full game obviously I was nervous as shit but as a neutral it had to be so borin like there wasnt even any big chance. Austrias team was called "wonderteam" in the years 1930-1934. They were he best team in the world. They reached the 4th place in the world cup. 1954 they reached the 3rd place. Maybe its time for another wonderteam. They are missing key players like Alaba, Schlager. And they are heavily rotating the squad which means that even the substitute players are high quality in the moment. On top the game against france would have been a draw if they hadn't scored an own goal.

Ralf Rangnick is a great Head Coach and he had the advantage to have worked with the Austrian Team on a national level as well as many of the players in his previous jobs at RB Leibzig (and RB Salzburg, I believe). So, Austria has really implemented his style of play for a while now. It shows. In my opinion, it is not a particular "beautiful" style of soccer (Spain plays a "beautiful" style in my eyes). But it is very effective.

That tweet from Mr. Hayes is wrong - the tiebreaker used for Denmark and Slovenia was their ranking in the Euro 2024 Qualifiers, which was also used for the Euro 2024 group stage draw. Both teams were in the same qualification group and Denmark was classified first in te group based on their head-to-head record (4 points for Denmark, 1 point for Slovenia)

Denmark was 1 goal away from topping the group and sent England into Germany's path, but instead, they decided to sit back in the last 20 minutes and defend.

As for the tiebreakers, I've read 2 different versions (none about FIFA rankings). First, Slovenia's technical director, Milivoje Novaković, was shown a yellow card against Denmark, which counts to disciplinary points. Second, after all the tiebreakers were tied, they moved to the tiebreakers of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. Slovenia and Denmark were luckily in the same group and they also finished with the same points. However, Denmark won the H2H.
