I’m confused, this topic keeps going back & forth and some argue both versions. I’ve heard that we look “uglier” in pictures because a lens’s doesn’t reflect the exact angles of that of a mirror so what’s the real truth now?

I don’t believe this. If this was true, I’d never get women looking at me and getting smiles from women. When I take a picture of myself, it’s AWFUL, when I see myself in the mirror, I like what I see.. I think what I see in the mirror is much more accurate.

😂😂 nahh this is one thing I have to disagree on. Many people are not photogenic. So they look better in person than pictures. Even celebs.
Then, you have people that are quite unimpressive in person, but somehow they look amazing in pictures, because theyre photogenic.

Adding on: In the facial aesthetics scene, there are some facial flaws that would qualify someone to be ugly or below average. That being having big flaws in the biggest 3 features that makes someone attractive: Eyes, Midface, Jaw

Eyes:
-Negative Canthal Tilt (This is practically one of the worst features you can have, and I don't think I really need to explain why. If we were to give Austin this, he would instantly lose 2-3 points)
-Excessive UEE (Not as terribly devastating, but it's still a big flaw)
-Sclera Show
-General bugged eyes (Larger in size, bulging out the skull which makes you look like a frog, can have all sorts of flaws)

Midface:
-Tall midface (below 0.9). It's worse than having it scrunched imo coz it gives you a horseface appearance and that's a big no-no
-Recessed Maxilla

Jaw:
-Major Recession, Disgustingly narrow width, or asymmetries.
-Overly rounded
-Loose Thyroid skin

If you have at-least 2 of these, then you're below average unless you have other good features

High amounts of Body Fat percentage (Even when you're not overweight you can still have a high BF%. It's called skinny-fat) can also knock you down.

The problem with photos is that they make a 2d image of yourself but in the real world people see u in 3d which is the same as a mirror try taking video and make sure u have a high quality camera

The other effect is that you look at a photo and think gosh I'm not very good looking then look at the same photo years later and think I was alright. In other words don't be too hard on yourself and work on your personality. Not many people are models like the guy on this channel.
