My experience getting endometriosis surgery in Verona, Italy. This is my fourth surgery for stage 4 endometriosis. I have had a laparotomy and 2 laparoscopic surgeries done in the US and this time, we went to one of the top places in the world for endometriosis specialists. Far from home, but I felt very confident in the team. Hoping this surgery puts us where we need to be for our IVF transfer. Will keep you guys updated! In the meantime, enjoy this peek into the surgery process in Europe.

Jessi shining the phone light on the ceiling, knowing Alessio would be watching, was the dearest thing.

The light signal and sneaking in snacks made my heart smile. And this nurse would not have gotten mad. How could you?
“I’m sorry…I love my wife. ❤” That sincere face!

Jessi, you are a strong positive roll model for all women struggling with infertility. Wow, my hearted melted when you showed the flashlight on the ceiling that you were ok. Alessio, loves you so dearly. God knows how much you are doing to have a baby. My prayers are with you both.

Jessi .... you look great after surgery, even more beautiful without make-up than with make-up. Let your skin breathe and stay healthy, we in Europe fall in love with the inside character and not so much with the looks. And your eyes show the beauty and purity of your soul, heart, blood and character. Alessio is a lucky man having you.

I personally appreciate you both being so open and sharing all of your experiences with endometriosis. People like you on YouTube and Reddit are literally how I have been able to learn so much of what others with endo are going through. It can be such a lonely disease and so many of us are brushed off as you were with your pain before Italy. I’m so happy you found a doctor who validated your pain and made an action plan on how to treat it. Pretty crazy that we (need to) consider going to other countries for help with our pain. Best
Of luck to you both!

I’ve been with my wife for 22 years and with endo. Some of the best stuff that worked for her was getting rid of all soy hidden soy like vegetable oil in the US is just soy oil. Avoid bleached flour and enriched wheat flour in the US also. Eliminating those were some of the biggest things we did for her. Our three children are also from IVF.

My wife suffered horrible ENDO for years!!! it was all over her insides, reproductive organs, on her intestines etc. She had 3 surgeries to remove it and it helped for awhile but ultimately she had to have a complete hysterectomy at 35. Luckily we never wanted kids so we were just happy to get her pain free.

I love when you said that even if this didn’t end the way you thought, that you hoped it would help others. This shows the heart of you both. I pray that God will bless you with the gift of your child. 🙏🙏

My wife had endo very bad. She dealt with it for 10 years and finally said enough. She had everything except 1 ovary removed. The endo came back 5 years later and 3 months ago she had it cleaned up again. Her ovary measured 3.5 inches due to the size of the cyst. My wifes health was worth more having kids. Good luck!
