I’m sitting here at 6 weeks experiencing everything you experienced and I *literally* started to cry knowing you felt the same way. Pregnancy hormones are no joke. Thanks for all the advice!

I had terrible morning sickness for the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy with my son. Was throwing up 3-5 times a day (on a good day) Lost 13 pounds. I survived on ginger chews, Gatorade and popsicles. I couldn’t eat anything. I could barely take my prenatal. Thank you for sharing your wisdom! Can’t wait for the next update! Praying for a healthy pregnancy for you!

With my daughter I was SO sick and with my son I was SO tired so that old wives tale was spot on for me!

I am 11 weeks and here is what worked for me during the past several weeks of morning sickness all throughout the day.

The biggest thing for me was my prenatal I was taking the garden of life organic prenatals which I also had previously taken their regular woman's vitamin. I was doing good on that prenatal for the first 6 weeks but after that it increased my morning sickness substantially until I changed it to prenatal gummies during this time. I currently take the organic smarty pants which I will eventually go back to garden of life after this period of nausea because there are more vitamins in the pill as apposed to the gummies however this was a life changer for me when it came to nausea.

The other thing I suggest is that sometimes i have to get up in the middle of the night to have a snack or if not first thing in the morning, something plain and easy on the stomach to get you going it doesn't have to be a heavy meal just a good snack to get started.

Get a good amount of protein. I notice if I didn't get enough protein or calories in a day not only that day but by the next day I really feel the effects and my morning sickness really kicks in.

Ice cold water is great for nausea not just any water but that sip of ice cold water really helps. If you are having trouble with plain water adding some lemon really helps with nausea or other frozen fruits in your water can add a bit of flavor and electrolytes for hydrating.

Stay away from heavy spices and stay away from tomatoes or tomato based sauces.

Snack light and often. I usually split my meals into several smaller meals now. Instead of one big meal I'll eat a little bit every 2 or 3 hours and spread it out throughout the day.

Eat what you can when you can. It's better to eat something then nothing at all and if you are trying to eat something (even if it is healthy like green veggies) but it's making you vomit then don't push yourself into eating that and try something else. You are not getting the benefit of those veggies anyways when your throwing it up. In ways focus on nutrition and what you can during this time and fit in healthy stuff when you can but don't push to hard and cause the opposite negative effects on you and baby.

Smoothies are a good way to add in some fruits and veggies when you are feeling up for a smoothie. I often mellow it out with some almond milk and water when the fruits seem to acidic for my liking.

Ginger capsules or tea throughout the day definitely makes a difference.

Vitamin B6 & magnesium both great for managing nausea.

I also have these candies for upset stomach lemon ginger honey drops with B6 by upspring you can take a couple of those throughout the day to take the edge off in between you making food for a quick fix but it's only temporary and you still need to find some food.

I wet wash cloth on the forehead or around the neck on a hot summers day has really helped me as well.

Every momma is different and so do what's best for you but this is what helped me so hopefully it helps someone else!

I know your very knowledgeable and I love your videos I only comment my suggestions cus I've been recently battling it out with my morning sickness the last several weeks and was hoping to help whoever else is battling with it.

I appreciate your videos thanks for making so many educational videos for pregnant mommas and I hope you feel better soon!

Happy pregnancy!

I had morning sickness starting at 6 weeks pregnant with my baby boy. Thankfully it only lasted until the second trimester hit cause I was soooo miserable. Hearing about you talk about your morning sickness now actually strangely brings back fond ish memories of my own... funny how our bodies try to trick us!! Lol! Maybe it’s because I love my baby boy soooo much I would do it all over again 1000x to have him 💕 Congratulations on your pregnancy!! So happy for you and look forward to hearing your updates! Hope you feel better soon!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I’m 22 weeks with my first baby and I just discovered your channel and have been watching all your videos to prepare ☺️ we found out 2 weeks ago that we’re having a baby boy and the old wives tale seemed to be true for me. I have had zero morning sickness the entire pregnancy, but in the first trimester I wanted to sleep 5 times a day I was so exhausted 😴
