Nice car, although not in '66 configuration...it has the wide body configuration which was used in '68 & '69. Also, the '67 LeMans winner was a Mark-4 not this configuration at all.

Cool video! FYI, Superformance uses two types of transaxles in the GT40; an original ZF 5DS-25 made by RBT and one made by Quaife. I have the ZF transaxle in my GT40 and it was hard to shift during breaking in. But after 1500 miles it’s now easy and a pleasure to drive. I also have a 560hp Roush fuel injected small block 427 engine and it starts the first time, every time. And btw, you’re not supposed to pump the gas pedal on a fuel injected engine to start it. This car looks like it has Webber carbs.

Love the British Lola car that Shelby modified. Sorry to the guys talking saying it was a pure US car, it's originally a British design, Ken Miles was the driver/engineer who made it win Le Mans in '66 (well HE won Le Mans '66 but we all know the story don't we) Ken was a Brit who was born down the road from me in Birmingham (that's the second largest city in the UK)

The all-American win in 1967 was not a GT40 Mk I like this Superformance or the later Mk II. It was an all new designed and built in USA Ford Mk IV (not a development of the GT40) driven by Americans Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt.

Superformace probably builds the bed, most accurate, and well put together GT40, plus, they are continuation cars and are eligible for the GT40 registry. It’s NOT, a kit car. Worthy of note: a very small company in the UK has built a recreation of the Ferrari P4, built from actual Ferrari drawings and plans, hand made out of aluminum and correct in every detail. A worthy competitor for the SF GT40

The paint scheme is "similar" to the FORD GT 40 "GULF" #11 driven by Jackie Ickx and Dick Thompson in 1967 at the 24H - DAYTONA . Except the stripe down the hood didn't swing out to the fenders.

Obvious answer is yes it's a Ferrari killer. Coming from someone who loves nearly every Ferrari ever made. These early Ford GTs are like the other woman I can never resist and don't even want to.
