I have had my hands on a ton of hats, $40 wool to $5000 chinchilla, and I haven’t found a better finished hat than American. I don’t have a Grizzly, yet, but it may be in the cards one day. I think the Gus is one of the most underrated shapes, super useful in the wind and elements. I don’t wear one, but it would be the perfect shape for hunting and work. In my opinion. Great job ➕✖️

Interesting hat lore I have heard is that legendary bill rider Larry Mahan originally popularized the style sometime back in the 60s/70s due to a bet😂 someone bet him he wouldn’t ride with one of those furry hats, he took the bet and rode with one and it became a hit! Gone in and out of style since then but nice to see them come back. Great winter hats! Thanks for sharing, great review!

I wish I could buy this hat... a cowboy hat in general but can't find any that are cheap but good quality. Wanted a cowboy hat since I was a kid. Nice videos!

Definitely like AMC hats. Solid review and I appreciate the explanation of how/why it's a grizzly versus a "regular" cowboy hat. I always thought the gus crease was dorky but it's growing on me. Cheers.

I got a American Hat Co straw and wear it as long as i can. Fits better than any other hat i own and is just way better. Been looking at the grizzly but dont know if im willing to drop that kind of cash. The extra warmth definitely appeals to me though

I got the rodeo king grizzly 10x with a brick top I love it but I know what u mean it's definitely hot
