Part 3 of the Power BI Admin Report series covers how to obtain user activity data! We need to call the Power BI API recursively to get all of the data back. In the next part, we'll visualize all of the data from the previous 3 parts!

Hi, I'm unable to refresh the dataset in power bi service... Getting 404 error. Since it is using bearer token, I have set anonymous type in power bi service but it is not refreshing. Request you to provide your input on how to do scheduled refresh of the dataset.. Thank you in advance

Really Cool series Thank you. I heard somewhere it can be possible to top up a table with API data. Told they made a table then as a part of the API they reference the data table and if a record exists they don't download, if it doesn't exist it returns the value then tops up the original data table. Any thoughts on how this is possible?

This series is awesome.. I was able to make it all work.. However, I can't go back past 30days.??? We have Premium Per User licenses.. I could not find where the "lookback" timeframe is documented..

What are the limits on a time frame for data retrieval? I'm currently building out a dashboard for covering the reports, users, and the number of times a report is used, etc, and am wanting to grab data since the inception of the PBI Report Server (roughly 2ish years). Is this the best method or is there a better method to getting that data for reporting?

Am able to refresh on my desktop but get error in the pbi service

This is great. Unfortunately I'm getting the error ": Access to the resource is forbidden." and I tried different options in the data source settings but none of them works. Any idea why or what kind of permissions I need to set up. Thanks
