The Last Of Us Could Have Been A Different Show…😱

Episode 2 of HBO’s adaptation of the popular Playstation game almost had a seriously darker opening scene! Instead of being given more insight into how the virus could have started, the showrunners were going to focus on a backstory for Tess. While speaking on The Last Of Us Podcast, the showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmannm explained the idea was that “she had a husband and she had a son, and they were infected and she had to kill them." If this wasn’t disturbing enough, they also planned to have her be unable to kill her son and as a result “she locked him in the basement, where, theoretically he's still a clicker."
