At least with Kane, Palmer, Saka and Bellingham, England can win every penalty shootout after drawing 0-0 in knockouts

Completely agree. As a Blackburn supporter and getting to watch Adam play he brings composure and quality on the ball that others lack.

Wharton should've started from Game 1. He'd have had 3 games under his belt at this point. But Southgate is too scared.

Wharton starting is a must for England. He’s a special player.

They need to basically improve in their coaching department, there’s a clown masquerading as a tactician in there

Honestly him or Mainoo are what that position needs. Both are fairly progressive and Mainoo's late runs into the final 3rd started to open things up for other players late into the game. The other center mid has been probably one of the biggest issues along with the lack of a proper left back.

"England aren't blessed with many of these." Even this squad isn't enough for them?

Just gotta play Palmer on the right and gordon on the left. It gives so Many combinations playing Palmer and Gordon gives the attacking solution they need on the left.Someone who can occupy that side of the field so the other players like Belli and Foden can roam

Almost fell asleep watching that England performance... just like I did multiple times trying to read Southgate's book.

Time? He had two years to prepare a befitting strategy and find players and adequate replacements for each position. It's not like the Euros were announced last night. He's out of his depth, clear and simple.

Englands #10 Bellingham against Denmark played 90+ minutes and had 2 passes into the final 3rd, next game he played 90+ minutes and played 1 pass into the final 3rd, and people really said Trent was the problem💀

Wharton is a generational talent and Southgate is an idiot for not picking him. He will transform the England team in the way you suggest in this video.

Seems like the perfect opportunity for a player like James Maddison, I wonder what he’s up to?!

Adam is a brilliant player.
He dribbles well with it and speeds the game or slows it down. We've not got a player like the squad.

I think the obvious answer if Bellingham at the 10 is insisted on is mainoo instead of Gallagher and palmer on one of the wings moving saka to left back even arguably

How was Southgate even considered for the England job???

Firstly, Substituting Palmer in actually worked decently well yesterday. Same when Mainoo played and which let Rice to push forward.

If they can solve the left wing issues, maybe they can do better. But they don't have a solution there. And because Foden is playing at the left Wing while being a major ball carrying option in last 2 matches, England is basically playing more balls in left wing in the first 2/3 of the pitch and then having to switch to right wing in final third coz they only have width and wingers in right.

Maybe they can play palmer as a second #10 and let him link up with Saka in the right hand side. No idea who they will kick out though. Bellingham should just go advanced positions and basically be a goal poaching midfielder and support Kane in the box. So my line-up is

Trippier - Guehi - Stones - Walker/trent in the back,

Rice

Bellingham and Palmer

Foden - Kane - Saka.

But defensively this team is weak AF .

You could also just remove Saka for Palmer. But Saka is the only natural winger and I feel like if he get good balls, backward support, overlapping runs and numbers in box, Saka can at least send some good crosses
