damn never have i seen deleted scenes that wouldve taken more from a film than added.
Making Gerald more of a jerk towards Eggman makes it seem like Eggman is just an oblivious toddler thats clinging to him instead of the dynamic in the movie where they do genuinely seem to get along.

My guess is after Megamind Rules!, they knew that they can’t make a streaming subplot until 5 years (even though these deleted scenes were obviously funny because if anyone can make this humor work, it’s the egg sack drone building, latte with steamed Austrian goat milk drinking, police car licking scientist himself, Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik).
