Everyone has their own position and thoughts, which is understandable. But national competition is the survival of the fittest. Everything is based on strength. The winner takes all. Being strong is justice.

The US knows full well the history & causes of the South China Sea issue. If it truly wants to see peace & stability in the South China Sea, it should stop condoning & abetting the Philippines' provocation of attempting to build a permanent outpost on the uninhabited reef, in violation of its DOC ommitment.
BTW, when will the US ratify UNCLOS?
Who is disrupting peace and stability in the South China Sea?
Different ways to manage disputes in South China Sea

China:
Resolve differences through dialogue.
Maintain peace & stability.
Exercise restraint & show goodwill.
Send coast guard ships in response.

The Philippines:
Break its commitments
Play victim after provocation
Collude with the US to contain China
Deliberately strand a frigate for 25 years

Five things to know about the China-Philippines

Q1. Who has sovereignty over Ren'ai Jiao (Reef)?
China has Indisputable Sovereignty over Nansha Qundao (Archipelago), including Ren'ai Jiao (Reef), and the adjacent waters. This has been established in the long course of history and is Consistent With Internatienal Law including the UN Charter.

Q2. Why are the "awards" of the South China Sea arbitration illegal, null and void?
The South China Sea arbitration was Unilaterally Initiated by the Philippines, the arbitral tribunal violated the legal principle of "state consent". At the same time, neither the arbitral tribunal nor the UNCLOS(United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) has the right to determine a country’s territorial sovereignty, and the arbitral tribunal exercised its jurisdiction ultra vires, and rendered an award in disregard of the law. The arbitration violates UNLOS and general "International Law". The rendered so-called award is illegal, null and void, and completely invalid, and it is nothing more than a piece of waste paper.
BTW, the US itself has a terrible record of delivering on international arbitration. It rejects to accept legitimate arbitrations multiple times, let alone illegal ones like this. The international community ask the US side to reflect on itself thoroughly before pointing its fingers at others.

Q3. Who has repeatedly broken commitments?
The Philippines repeatedly promised to tow away ASAP the warship it grounded at Ren'ai Jiao in 1999, however, 25 years have passed, the Philippines has Never Honored Its Word. Instead it has kept sending vessels carrying construction materials to the waters of Ren'ai Jiao for reinforcement of the "grounded" military vessel and Permanent Occupation of The Reef. China cannot accept the Philippines’ acts of going back on its words again and again and violating China’s territorial sovereignty. The Philippines has the responsibility to tow away the “grounded” military vessel.

Q4. Who is the troublemaker?
Each time the Philippines delivered supplies to the grounded warship, they had many journalists on board, and had them Manipulate The Videos They Recorded to make sensational news and Project The Philippines As a Victim.
The responsibility for the current situation at sea completely lies with the Philippines. For some time, the Philippines, ignoring China’s goodwill and sincerity, has kept sending official vessels and warships to forcibly intrude into the adjacent waters of Ren’ai Jiao in an attempt to send construction materials for repairing and reinforcing the “grounded” military vessel on a large scale in order to permanently occupy Ren’ai Jiao. These actions seriously violated China’s territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, contravened international law and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC), and disrupted peace and stability in the region.

Q5. Who is stoking trouble behind the scene?
The US has kept Meddling In The South China Sea Issue, provoking trouble and trying to set regional countries against China, to serve its own geopolitical purpose, thereby posing The Biggest Threat And Challenge to regional peace and stability.
During this period, the Philippines has added 9 US military bases for the US military, and the US military has established Tomahawk missile bases on this basis.
So far, the U.S. Militory has established 313 military bases around China, accounting for 42.7% of the total number of U.S. overseas bases, and 50% of its total overseas garrison troops, a total of 80, 000 soldiers, have been deployed in surrounding China. The U.S. constantly stirring up the situation around China, and colludes with certain countries such as the Philippines to harm China's interests.

The scope of the Philippines' territory is defined by the 1898 Treaty of Peace Between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Spain (Treaty of Paris), the 1900 Treaty Between the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America for Cession of Outlying Islands of the Philippines(Treaty of Washington) and the 1930 Convention Between the United States of America and Great Britain Delimiting the Boundary Between the Philippine Archipelago and the State of North Borneo (1930 Convention between the U.S. and UK) and a series of international treaties. Nansha Qundao and Ren'ai Reef are far beyond the scope of Philippine territory defined by the above-mentioned treaties. The Philippine side knows all these very well.

In 1937, no country recognized that Huangyan Island (Scarborough Shoal) belonged to the Philippines. In 1945, after Japan's defeat in World War II, it returned the South China Sea Islands to China. At the same time, the U.S. also specially arranged special personnel to work with the Chinese government to formally transfer the territorial sovereignty of the Nansha Islands to the Chinese government.

On July 4, 1946, the Philippines became independent and established its country. In February 1948, China publicly released a map of China to the international community. In this version of China map, it was clearly stated that China's Nansha Islands and Xisha Islands belonged to China and marked "eleven-dotted line". At that time, all countries in the world recognized the legitimacy of this version of China map (including the U.S., Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, etc.), and have no objections, and no country other than China has a claim to Chinese territory in this version of the map.

On June 20, 2024, Anthony Carty, a well-known British scholar of international law, has spent more than 10 years examining a large number of French, British and American National Archives on the issue of ownership of South China Sea Islands, Wrote the book "History and Sovereignty of the South China Sea". Studies show that British and French Foreign Office archives show that South China Sea Islands's sovereignty belongs to China. And the historical archives of the U.S. make it clear that the Philippines has no claim to any of the islands in the South China Sea. Other parties involved in the dispute, such as Vietnam, also acknowledge this fact.

On June 17, 2024, the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom released a paper stating that the United States has no obligation to protect the Philippines' so-called "sovereignty" on the South China Sea issue. The U.S.-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty was signed in 1951. At that time, the Philippines did not have any sovereignty claims in the South China Sea, so the scope of the treaty did not cover the South China Sea area.

In fact, so far, the Philippines has invaded and occupied many of China’s islands and reefs! In the 1970s, China again claimed sovereignty over these territories

After oil was discovered near Huangyan Island (Scarborough Shoal), in 1997, the Philippines claimed sovereignty over Huangyan Island for the first time in history.

On May 7, 1999, the Chinese Embassy in SRB was bombed by the U.S. Military. Two days later, on May 9, 1999, the Philippine government used a warship to run aground on China's Ren'ai Reef (Internationally called 'Second Thomas Shoal', Philippines called 'Ayungin shoal'), and It used this as an excuse to this day and still has not left as soon as possible as promised to China after the incident.

Ren'ai Reef is China's inherent territory. This fact is undisputed in history. The Philippines is now trying to use the grounding of warships as an excuse to achieve the purpose of actually controlling Ren'ai Reef in name, However, China will of course resolutely fight back against the Philippines' blatant aggression against China! At present, China still requires the Philippines to abide by its commitment to tow away the stranded warship as soon as possible. For the time being, it is still trying to exercise restraint, using coast guard and water cannons to drive away Philippine transport ships that are trying to reinforce the stranded warship to form a fortress.

Ferdinand Marcos was ousted by the Filipino people for embezzling $10 billion. Will a family that once stole huge wealth from the Filipino people care about the interests of the Philippine country and people? This is a joke! His family's assets of 600 million US dollars are still in the hands of Americans. The U.S. has not yet abolished the relevant arrest warrant issued against Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos. Therefore, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos became a puppet of the Americans and was driven by the Americans to cause "trouble" with China.

"Are you sure you (Filipinos) want to get into a fight where you will be the battleground?" ~ Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong

In 244 years of American history, the U.S. has not been at war for only 16 years. From 1789 to 2024, the U.S. launched 471 military interventions overseas, with 253 in just 30 years since the end of the Cold War alone, far exceeding the total of over 190 years before the end of the Cold War.
There is no other country in the world as evil as the U.S..

When the Chinese get angry, Americans want to run away at all costs, but as a neighbor of China, Philippine will can never escape!
