The maturity from Amy is amazing. It shows how much she's grown and changed. She still loves Sonic but instead of keeping him tied to her she knows he's happier to run off. And even when he offers her to JOIN him, a chance the old Amy would have jumped on, she puts the needs of the towns people and the resistance before her own.

Okay...I love Amy in this.

She’s smart.

She’s controlled.

She’s still Amy, she still has affections for Sonic, but she also doesn’t let it completely get in the way of her values as a resistance fighter fighting the good fight for everyone, and it’s clear that she and Sonic has a strong relationship despite the obvious certain quirkiness of it all.

It’s fucking awesome. This is the best Amy Rose I’ve seen.

This is the interaction between Amy and Sonic that I love! The banter, the sarcasm and still shows Amy super love for Sonic. And Sonic GOES ALONG WITH IT! He doesn't just ignore her or push her aside

I like how this IDW comics of Sonic the Hedgehog shows Amy's intelligence, character growth, development and maturity, and how she's needed to keep things in order with the resistance. Archie Comics was notorious for always giving those strengths and qualities to Sally Acorn while making Amy a Sonic fangirl member of the Freedom Fighters whom Sonic always tried to run away from and it was downright tiring. I know there are some Sally Acorn fans that wish Sally was included in this version of Sonic, but I'm happy that Sally wasn't added and that they chose to give Amy that spotlight, intelligence and maturity for a change.
