Can we just appreciate Blaze and Silver's dynamic? One is from a different space and the other from a different time. They have powers unique to them too (at least in Sonic's time-period). They also just seem destined to meet and help one another, (06, handheld version of Colors, Black Knight, etc.)

I admire Silver's optimistic attitude. For a guy who lived in a dystopian world especially in a young age, most people would either be insane or depressed. He said it himself that plants aren't commonly a thing in his time. And here he is trying to grow plants himself. Sure, he doesn't know anything about gardening (I mean who would be if you live where plants aren't even a thing?) and he got frustrated when he was doing something wrong, but seeing him smile even in the littlest of things such as growing plants and waiting for them to grow is really heartwarming. I love his character a lot and I loved his character more in the IDW comics.

Before this comic came out, I wrote and sang a song called “New Stories” that was about this exactly — using ashes and bones to grow a new garden on the remains of something awful. It was a metaphor for healing from trauma and to see my favorite fandom create this comic years later was like an affirmation that I’d healed. :)

These two always had an amazing dynamic and chemistry in sonic O6. Which is made even better by the fact that they're both probably two of the best Sonic Characters ever. So I'm really glad that these new versions of them from the comics still retain that great chemistry. Silver's character is super different but I dare say it's an incredible improvement, pair that with the Blaze from Rush and it's just so much fun watching these two interact. Same goes for all the other characters in these comics, Ian Flyn really gave all these characters some much needed... well Character! Everyone feels so unique, alive, and familiar, I so wish we could get more of this writing in the games.
