There is no way Sonic did not just "die" here. This was one of the few times Sonic was ever-so-close to dying. If the Dynamo Cage didn't break at the right time, Sonic would have gotten' another death under his belt.

Jesus Christ that Surge acting was phenomenal, all of my props to Cycoriot, same applies to PARANOiDDJ1 for the the sound design and Correy Wilder for the visual editing, even though I read the comic it still felt like Sonic was going to die.

heres hoping Surge will find the peace she's looking for, preferably without killing Sonic.

Good Lord, this is some of the best voice acting I've seen in a while. Surge's last lines genuinely shook me. And the "...I can't" line. ❄️❄️❄️

Genuinely one of the Best & Most Tragic Moments in the Entire Series, and I'm including Archie (both Pre & Post Reboot), Fleetway, Prime & Movie 2. Like, imagine being forced both physically & MENTALLY into a role (in this case, the Hero's rival) you DIDN'T ask for. And even after the person that put you in that role is dead & gone, he messed with your mind so much to the point that you can't even mentally escape both him or even your role he placed you in for potentially the rest of your life.

I just LOVE the impostor syndrome saga (it's how i call) surge and kit are so well written, i want see them in games now that IDW is cannon
