RetroBat - The One Build v6.2 by Team Pixel Nostalgia - SHOWCASE!

~200 Systems and ~18,500 Games!

The build has now gone live!

The wait is finally over! Team Pixel Nostalgia have created a build that contains games for EVERY system supported by RetroBat! That's around 200 systems! It is being prepared and will be released in the next few days!

This is a collection of the 'best' games for each system. It was initially based on the 'Community Star Rating' used in Launchbox, but has been enhanced using several other sources online, such as various 'Top 50' games lists published online etc. It also includes some of the teams personal favourites :) Of course everyone has different tastes and likes, but this will hopefully be a good starting point for most people.

The number of games per system varies and this is down to having the right balance of content versus size. Those disc based systems that can take up a lot of storage have lower numbers of games, whereas as ROM, Cartridge, Cassette, Floppy etc based systems, will have more games in general. The aim is to have great content, but keep the total size of the build manageable.

Another key point of this build is to keep it very active, with regular updates, fixes, additions etc, so many builds are released and then never updated and eventually become outdated. The team have made this build for the community and want you to provide feedback and suggestions etc for improvement, additions etc, for example, if your favourite game or one you think should definitely make the cut isn't there, let them know!

The build has been packaged in such a way, that you can be selective in what you download. You must download the base pack, but you can then be selective with the ROM Packs you download. This has been done as not everyone has terabytes of spare storage. Also, as it's been shared as a torrent, you can choose which parts of the torrent you download using your torrent client. The base pack and each ROM pack are in their own 7z files, so you can select and de-select them until you have what you need/want. This will also help save storage space and allow you to download quick if you only want a few systems. You can also come back to the torrent later and download additional packs.

Just leaving a comment to let you know Rapster that I finally was granted access to the privvy amd have completed the d/l (which I am seeding) and installed successfully.

For anyone still sitting on the proverbial fence about whether this is worth the d/l & effort. it most *DEFINTELY IS* - I'm stilling digging further in and having an absolutel blast!

I have not yet attempted to get this. But was wondering are there duplicate games between each of the systems. I.e. Street Figter 2 being available on multiple systems or have you just got it on just one system etc? Thanks

So is the same team that created this build also responsible for updating the Hypermax Plus V8 theme? The original obviously didn't even come close to supporting this many systems. Looks fantastic!
