I replace my old Vivoactive with the first Venu about 6 months ago. At the time I was considering the Forerunner 245. I opted for the Venu because of the screen. The Venu has been a good watch but I found that a pretty screen wasn’t important to me. Taking advantage of all of it features I find the battery doesn’t last as long as my old Vivoactive and the screen can be harder to see in sunlight. This winter I also had trouble with the buttons when running in sub freezing temperatures. Thales several presses of the buttons. I think the more pronounced buttons on the Forerunner might be more functional. For me the Forerunner would have been a better decision. With a better battery they might fixed the issues with the Venu. I love the Garmin app and they are constantly updating software. I burrowed an Apple Watch for a few days but the feel on my wrist and having to charge it everyday makes me stay with Garmin. The sports portion of the Apple Watch is lacking. Thanks for your review. I always check your review out. Will be “watching” for any upcoming new Forerunner watches. I might update quicker this time.

Oooh new heart rate sensor, I just upgraded my Venu to a Fenix 6 Solar a few months ago. If Garmin puts this sensor on the Fenix 7, I better start saving some money now 🥴

Breathtaking delivery full of superb details. I've just ordered a Venu 2s to possibly replace my Apple 8 iwatch with its awful battery life. Great comparison above on the two Garmin watches.

Ah, the insider track on Garmin. I knew it. Tell ya what, when they send you the 955 for review, just title one of your videos "the eagle has landed" and I'll get the message.

I bought a 245 on Wednesday and Thursday these came out with the new HR sensors! I'm returning my 245 and going back to my vivoactive 3 music and wait for garmin to update all the watches to the new sensor

38g is pretty lightweight. I’m super curious about this new HRM tech! 👏 (The enduro also has sleep) Great review!

I like your videos more than my wife. Fortunately, she can't read English. How lucky. 😅😅😅❤️❤️❤️

Pretty cool! I'm thinking about picking up this watch as a companion to my Fenix 7X which I find too bulky especially for sleeping. I plan to wear this watch while at home to record vitals and keep my Fenix 7X for outdoors which I use several times per week. Looks like Garmin is trying to face them out with a sale on their website. The Venu 2 seems perfect for daily home use and light exercise activities. Thanks!!

Venu 2 seems pretty good. I'm comparing it to a forerunner 245 to choose one. This video was helpful.

Great video! What watches would be at the top of your list focusing specifically on running 1/2 and full marathons and sleep tracking.

Great review! Does it also measure cadence for running? :) Or is that feature just reserved for forerunner and fenix?
