I can understand why the Venu 2 is more expensive with double the battery storage and upgrades sensors and algorithms but the Venu 1 is half the price but probably not half the watch.

Great comparison. I have the Galaxy watch 5 am looking into trading it in on the Venu. I can get it for $100 by trading in my watch 5 at Best Buy. Having a Garmin will allow me to connect it to an iPhone or Android phone, obviously not getting iMessage notifications. But at least it will connect to an iPhone. My watch 5 can't connect to an iPhone which keeps me from switching to iOS if I ever want to.
