SAMPLE ROUNDING!! WTF! As a beginner a couple of years ago trying to figure out the latency of my interface, latency of plugins, bugs I thought I had with vsti's that probably didn't exist, and wondering why timing of things just didn't always sound the same after recording guitar over my midi and then messing around and gluing and nudging then I'd see things were off and never understood why. It was infuriating and I left it at me being too stupid or shitty at playing or maybe even wondering that's why people pay so much for protools and here was my answer all along I just couldn't figure out the right question to ask. Thank you so much! My progression as a musician and mixer is owed to a lot of work but also you Jon and others, Kenny... who take your time to help teach and inspire and there are plenty of more technical things I would never catch or understand in a hundred years without you so thank you very much for what you do. My day job keeps me busy but my passions keep me happy and it's nice to grow.

Hey John,

When I record direct-in guitars (electric guitar -> interface -> reaper) the reaper metronome bleeds into the recorded file. If I insert the click-source on a separate track it doesn't bleed intro the recording. This isn't really a solution because the click-source isn't customizable. (At least I could not do it..)
I had this on 3 different computers and on 2 different interfaces.

Is there a way to make the recording start when the previously recorded stuff ends without overwriting it on the old one before it ends but hearing it before playing?

hey man for telling us about the reaper 5 stuff...i appreciate yeah anytime i need to do something or learn something i head here....anyhoo....man VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO...i hope i can edit vids in 5 and color correct...would be dope!!! i tried in 4 but the export sucked...any tips for exporting vid in 4...gonna go search your vids for that answer now hahaha...
