What a Test match it was great fightback from Sri Lanka. Kamindu Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal both played really well in the second innings to get Sri Lanka a decent total to fight for and England also played well to chase it down with Joe Root playing a crucial knock to get England home.

I've made my mind up over the last year. Joe Root is the greatest batsman England have ever produced. I have been following Cricket since the Graham Gooch days. I may be biased. I enjoyed watching Gooch, Thorpe, Vaughan, Cook and Peterson. But Joe Root has to be the greatest. I hope he gets close to Sachin and maybe even goes past. Let's see how much is in the tank.
