you're beautiful isn't a love song, it's a song about the perspective of a lonely dude completely wacked on drugs in a tube station looking at a woman

"You're Beautiful" is not a love song, it's a story of a guy seeing his ex-girlfriend with her new boyfriend while on the London Underground and realising he blew it and will never be with her again. The video is him describing this while preparing for suicide.

I guess subtext, metaphors, and the literal lyrics of the song all went over your head, WM.
