I see people in my work going “above and beyond” with no reward. I just as little as possible so that my line manager stays off my back. At this point I just feel like a caged animal in a zoo. Stuck somewhere I don’t want to be with no idea how to get out.

The best thing to change is oneself as workplaces are similar. I noticed that the people that get fired often do better than those who try to stay and grab a promotion or something else. Sadly, they get screwed too. The bottom line trumps everything. Loyalty counts for nothing. Fear submerges them.

One 'opportunity' you may have not considered....and that is....create something (a product) for an existing company that they both want, need and will pay you for...then find someone else to manufacture it for that company. All three parties win...the company who wants the product. The company who makes the product. And you...for years to come. Creating the product is kind of like going to college where you put in your time and $$$ - up front- but then get the rewards later on - not a job, but an on going passive income stream. Then do another project with the $$$ you got from the first project....etc.

I've watched most of your videos, and I wholeheartedly agree with your perspective. Before anything else, I'd like to express my gratitude for your willingness to engage in this dialogue and share your insights. It's not easy to discuss these matters.

The crux of the issue often lies in the pursuit of monetary gains, whether through work, business, or self-employment. Frequently, the primary objective becomes accumulating wealth. However, no matter how much you earn or the means by which you earn it, there comes a point where it seems as though you've become a vessel solely for money. This lifestyle is not in harmony with our human nature, given the level of consciousness we possess. Unlike animals, we can't simply follow one path, dedicating our lives to a singular pursuit. This is why discovering your passion for things, engaging in activities you genuinely enjoy, or doing things without the fear of loss or gain is the true path to a fulfilling life. Money will always have its place, one way or another, but perpetual dissatisfaction is likely to persist unless we find a deeper sense of purpose and fulfilment.

Please feel free to share your thoughts or comment on this, as I'm also in the process of learning from your insights.

#newsub You have put into words how I've felt for years working at corporate jobs. Thank you for your content and words of encouragement ❤

To me it’s not the work in itself that’s the problem. It’s more the workplace drama and basktabbing behaviours people take part in to climb the corporate ladder. When I just want to do my work and go home people are stepping over dead body’s to get what they want. Sad and so unhealthy.

After doing a decade in one vocation then another 10 years in a different one the last year and a half i have had 6 different jobs, thinking of switching another time, doing the side hustle, but they are not where i need them to be yet, i think i am on a 2 to 3 month burn out on job's, i really like learning new skills and taking jobs based on what would make a good subject for a book

Jokes on me then. I quit because I couldn’t stand working there. I was literally losing sleep over it. Now I’m on the job hunt, and can’t find anything.
Rather deal with this than work for that company.

#NewSub I am in this stage but I have so much relying on me and I have this mental block making me think I am an ungrateful person whenever I rebel against the system because I feel even though I am 3 years in my job never moving up the ladder and freezing my promotion for half a year etc I got into quiet quitting and while that band aided me I feel overwhelmed with basic things I want like get married or travel or something but I am stuck in this cycle wherein I feel if I quit I will like starve and starve those around me and I will have missed on being a productive person into a liability

Of course you hate this! I doubt that humas were created to adhere to an alarmclock! Seriously, we have an internal clock that will wake us up once we've slept enough, but sadly modern society doesn't care about that and neither does it care about differences among people! I myself am the night-owl-type (I love staying up during the night and go to bed at say 6 AM - especially since I believe that nothing truly interesting usually happens before noon anyway!) and also introverted, so a regular office where you share an office or worse have a cubicle and an "overseer" who watches you like a hawk (so those cubicle walls? Well, they might as well not be there!)? Well, such an office might as well be a torture chamber! How people can concentrate why being surrounded by all that noise their co-workers make is beyond me! Give a damn windowless room in the basement and I'll perform better, especially if it has a door that I can close behind me!
