In this video I compare Revit LT to full version of Revit as a Revit LT user. I will go through all the main missing features and functionality of Revit LT and rate it from A to C based on how I miss the feature. I explain what the missing functionality would be used for. Some of the missing features include collaboration, MEP and structural tools, limited import and export, no add-ins, no dynamo, no internal rendring engine, missing view filters, no in-place families, no massing or adaptive components and others. Price of Revit LT compared to Revit is also discussed.

Great comparison, really helped me decide if I wanted to subscribe to the full version or Lt. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.

Great to hear info from an actual LT user. It looks like it would be the best way to learn outside of university. I require output to PDF typically for building plans to submit for permits in city / municipalities. But it looks like you are able to produce those OK.. Thanks!

Nice comparison man! Thank you for the video. I would say the biggest feature that is missing from LT would be view filters. They are the best bult-in Revit option for the view automatization.

Am also a LT user. I mainly focus on as-builts and Renovations projects so LT is perfect. Although, having the full version would be nice.

Very usefull comparison! I used the free student version to get to know Revit a little by doing some personal designs for my house. I made my renders with Twinmotion, awesome program if you dont know it! Now my student licence expired but still want to make renders. Just not sure if i want to use Revit LT or switch to sketchup as its alot cheaper. Which one do you reccomend?

If you miss enscape, give twinmotion a try; I have experience with both and have found twinmotion more satisfying. My biggest problem with LT is the inability to create hatch patterns

can a revit project be opened in full revit version, what about compatibility in versions, like revit 2022, revit 2023 etc, how this whole thing works?

Terrible. Why? You cannot use plug ins. Which is the pettiest thing a company can do. Imagine limiting your costumers to premium in order to run their own scripts and their purchases in your store. Shame on you Autodesk.

If you are working alone as a freelance architect you can't afford the full Revit software its too expensive in our region. LT is the only option but its way too much butchered.
