people really dont realise how much hair loss can affect a person until it happens to them.

I did hair transplant 2 years ago in Turkey and it was really a life changing decision for me. People who do not have the same problem will never understand how hair loss can affect your mental health. My life has changed to better, I am so proud of myself that I did that step, though all my toxic friends were making fun of me.

I'm so glad it's becoming more socially acceptable for men to get these surgeries. Losing your hair young can have a devastating impact on your confidence.
It's honestly completely changed my life.

*this is a completely personal issue. You can't tell someone they're wrong for wanting to do this, nor for not wanting to. Whatever makes the person happy, that's the main thing. I get annoyed with comments like "oh just shave your head" or "what a waste of money" - If it makes him happy that's all that matters*

‘It didn’t effect my mental health, but it did effect my confidence’....Plato couldn’t have put it better

"Bald Lives Matter"
People didnt realize how hard it is. When they look at your hair and not on your eyes when theyre talking to you.
When they think this is a sickness. And make fun of it.
And people asking about your age but wont believe it cuz they say you look old.

Yeah it sucks...

I have no problem getting wrinkles or turning grey. It's something you gain when you get older and it shows that you are living and experiencing things in life, but with Alopecia you are LOSING something of yourself and that's something a lot of people underestimate. Especially for young people. Got my hair transplant done a week ago and only received positive feedback from the people around me. Even at the airport in Turkey people came up to me asking for advice and giving me compliments. It was a reality check that people are a lot nicer than we might think sometimes. It's not something to be ashamed of and I highly encourage everybody to do it. But if you do it...do your research and find a good clinic

I also did a hair transplant at the age of 23. I've decided to document my journey on video to help others too who are suffering from this. And I can say that I really gained some self confidence back. Even though I had a small correction, it really helped and I'm so glad I did it.

you will not understand the impact of hair loss until you experience it yourself...

Had full head of hair, then at age 20 it started to thin out...and i just counted the hairs in my hand everyday. I had no motivation to even look in the mirror cause my hairline was almost gone, i used to hide it and yeah thats shit hits you really deep. I can't go to the barber anymore for a cool Hairstyle, i can't walk outside and let the wind blow my hair back, cause it will just show my bald spots. All the other guys with hair are just telling me "Grow a beard and go to the gym".

Everything he says in this video hits the nail on the head, until it happens to you, you never really know how badly it affects you.
For me, I lost most of my hair from the crown of my head at a young age, also the front had gone a bit
I went to Turkey in February and I'm currently 4 and a half months post op and the changes I'm now seeing have had a huge impact on my mental health.
It's early days (full result at 12 months) but I'm totally overwhelmed with how things are going, totally life changing. 👏

I was viciously bullied in school for having a naturally set back hairline, like had two boys follow me about on my break and call me really hurtful names, everyone just pointed it out as if I’d done something to cause it but that was literally my genetics. The amount of mental depression I feel because of it to this day is hard

Ive been balding since 15 and it has been ruining my life. At 17 was on Rogaine didn't do shit at 18 on finasteride and it has worked, I stopped losing my hair I am now 19 but I'm still extremely insecure about it, high hairline still thin and still noticable worse then any 19 year old I know. I am going to get a hair transplant I can't have this shit take over my life no more, I shaved it last year to see what I would I would look like and I didn't recognize myself I looked like someone else and I just couldn't look in the mirror. Balding messed me up so much I have no social life anymore I am to insecure to talk to anyone without a hat or beanie on. Started drinking heavily. All this stuff because of my hair... people with full heads of hair will never know.

I did my hair while ago with Clinic Expert Istanbul Turkey and I am really satisfied with the results my frontline is good, I have good density, and I can style my haur the way I want. Its really blessing to have this operation done. Before I was introvert, I avoided going out and meet people and when I go I always cover my head with hat.. it's really changing point for me . Now I am more confident I start to go out more and even my girl is really happy with look😊😊
