Turkey does not deserve to purchase F-16 or anything else for that matter. When we examine the attitude of Turkey toward Greece over the last 500 years and still ongoing with toxic rhetoric and poisonous provocations, including but not limited to, daily violations of Greek airspace causing Greece to waste millions of dollars in jet fuel chasing the Turkish fighter jets, or even Turkish drones, and scaring both the inhabitants of Greek islands but also causing tourists to feel uncomfortable due to jealousy is absolutely disgusting. If I were involved with the American congress I wouldn’t allow the sale of a paper airplane or even a fishing boat to Turkey. Once Turkey stops ALL provocations and once Turkey stops all threats and “Casus Belli” etc for many years I would then revisit the issue. However, until Turkey smartens up, which sadly I don’t believe will ever happen, then and only then we can discuss the sale of more arms to Turkey. A zebra never loses its stripes and sadly and regrettably I do not believe that Turkey will eve change. Turkey wants the Greek islands demilitarized so that they can take over the islands with no resistance like they did in 1974 in Cyprus. Greece will NEVER make the same mistake again. Turkey asks for demilitarization when Turkey themselves has their largest Naval fleet in Smyrna facing the Greek islands (120, 000 troops facing the Greek islands). Turkey has an illegal invasion of Cyprus in 1974 and still continues to ILLEGALLY occupy the Northern part of Cyprus yet we ask for sanctions and embargoes against Russia for the Russian attack on Ukraine. Turkey has done exactly the same as Russia since 1974, where are the sanctions and embargoes on Turkey ??? Enough is enough, I support the balance of arms in favour of Greece and if Turkey does not like that then that’s too bad. Turkey has become a Pirate country under Dictatorship by Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkey has been a regional bully in Syria, Iraq, Nagorno Karabakh and in Libya for many many years. The PKK and YPG Kurdish groups are not terrorists, they are Kurdish people that want their lands back like Greece does and like the Armenians do. Turkey labels the PKK and YPG as terrorist grouts because it fits their agenda. The Kurdish, the Greeks and the Armenians all suffered mass killings at the hands of Turkey and the Ottoman Empire. We will not forget !! No arms for Turkey, not even a mountain bike until they stop. The treaty of Lausanne is crystal clear, Turkey has no rights past three (3) nautical miles off of the Aegean coastline. All the islands are Greek and they have been Greek for thousands of years all the way back to the Byzantine Empire before the Ottoman Empire. If Turkey does decide to invade Greece or to invade ANY Greek islands they will sadly be taught a very valuable lesson that will result in immeasurable losses and catastrophic damages. Turkey needs to mind their own business and stop the bullying once and for all.
