The world-famous economist and former Greek Finance Minister joins Ash Sarkar to argue that capitalism is dead and present a game-changing new paradigm: technofeudalism. The owners of big tech have become the world's feudal overlords—replacing capitalism with a fundamentally new system that enslaves our minds, defies democracy, and rewrites the rules of global power. But as Varoufakis will also reveal, technofeudalism contains new opportunities to thwart and overturn it, bringing into focus more clearly than ever the revolution we need to escape our digital prison.Watch Ash and Yanis to have your eyes opened to the new power that is reshaping our lives and the
world.

Argentina doesnt have bloated spending, but starved cashing. Every export sector is controlled by multinational corporations, and there is no way to avoid flight capitals.

This guy is so damn right and can explain global connections so wonderfully. I have attended around 120 parliamentary debates, including in the German Reichstag, and not once in a debate have I heard the sentence: “Aha, you're right with your arguments, I need to rethink mine”.
I said to a liberal politician while smoking during a break: “Parliamentary debates are just for show, aren't they? The politician: Yes, exactly.
I don't know about you, but I live in a Huxleyian distopia. There are drugs to counter dissatisfaction, media distractions, democracy is a theater, thousands of narratives are plastered all over us. Technologically we are reaching for the stars and culturally we still have one foot in the Middle Ages.

Lots to think about in this video, especially watching all four parts. Yanis makes a very strong case that Technofeudalism is indeed a new paradigm, as momentous a change as the one from medieval feudalism to corporate capitalism.

Complaints about terms of service violations, threats of de-platforming, lack of subscriber transference to a different platform, declining rates of compensation, and defacto monopolization due to immense scale are starting to pile up, but content creators & online consumers are both trapped in the Technofeudalism digital paradigm with little or no significant options.

Oh well, it always takes a while before governments begin to regulate new technologies - politicians have to wait until the public is aggrieved enough to demand action. In the meantime, there are probably sub-committees looking into this matter...

Yanis Varoufakis suggests using synchronized global protests to impact stock prices as a way to challenge corporate power, this strategy could have unintended consequences. Specifically, the temporary drop in stock prices might benefit wealthy investors who can buy the stock at a lower price and profit when it rebounds. This could ultimately reinforce wealth inequality rather than achieving meaningful systemic change. Instead of focusing on stock prices, you suggest targeting broader business practices or advocating for regulatory reforms to create more sustainable and equitable outcomes.

It is a three point plan. Global Direct Democracy so we all have power, a vote which governs the Peoples Council which is an evolution of the UN and the Sovereignty Triangle

Cars were made cheaper through mechanization which was an increase in productivity. Low wages as extracting value from labour for profit is because productivity hasnt kept up. Profits according to classic formula is either way and of course cheaper capital. Traditional capitalism was industrial and now has become financial - what Yanis rebrands as cloud feudalism however this ignores the investment outside of internet.

The problem as a engineer solve problem is selecting leaders in a democratic way that can produce competent and experience leaders that can see through all this deception of capitalist hegemony. Without solving this, getting power back and then being managed by incompetent leaders, we just go through a round and round problem again later. At the very least the candidate up for election have tohave a minimum experience of XX years in managing economy from village through provicial and up.. Or a health minister candidate have to have minimum xx years of experience in the health sector to qualify for the job. Without setting this in place, any other way would just make the problem go round and round only. Resposibility is then being relayed to the next guy.
