I think I have a theory a very depressing one. I think that ace died due to luffy's existence, hear me out. It is said that ace was very talented and according to sengoku would lead the pirates of that era and it was ace dream to make whitebeard the king of pirates so whitebeard life runs out he must find one piece but that would lead luffy not being the king of pirate so to avoid it the world of one piece had to kill both whitebeard and ace so that luffy can become the king of pirate. This same happened with Roger being a pseudo Nika only born to stop rocks pirate and dies due to an unknown disease the same disease that Roger had. Hence for luffy to become the king of pirate the world of one piece killed whitebeard and ace. That same thing happened in loguetown when luffy was saved by lightning and somker said AS IF HEAVEN IS TRYING TO KEEP THIS MAN ALIVE. if you think my theory makes sense pls like it @doronworld

Come to think of it devil fruit comes from people strong desires and if eating Mera Mera no mi means u gets ace will switch means if a devil fruit user like the magu magu no mi dead their desire will go to the fruit but if a new devil fruit user, uses the magu magu no mi and died does that means the previous magu magu no mi user desire will be erased and switch desire to that current users death 🤔
